First setup
Teach MarginPact how your business works.
These are your private business defaults. They become the starting point for pricing decisions on the web and can be refined later.
What this means: what one labor hour actually costs your business—not what you charge the customer. Use wage or owner labor value plus payroll burden/benefits you want included. Leave blank if unknown; MarginPact will mark labor-based jobs as not protected until you configure it.
What this means: the share of the customer price left after job costs. Example only: at a 50% gross margin, $500 of job cost requires $1,000 of customer price. MarginPact does not choose your target for you.

These defaults stay private and follow the business across MarginPact.
Quick start
Three things make the first job priceable.
Set your actual loaded labor cost, choose the gross margin you want MarginPact to protect, and save at least one service. Customer pricing rules are optional.
Business defaults
What one labor hour actually costs the business, not the customer rate. This is inherited only by services without their own override.
Gross margin = (customer price − job cost) ÷ customer price. Services can override this target individually.
Saved services
The lowest customer price you will take for this service. Leave blank/zero if you do not use one.
Set this only when this service has different labor economics. Blank = inherit the business default.
Leave blank to inherit the business target gross margin.
